Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino (second from right) recently attended the Hicksville Community Council’s 48th Anniversary Celebration held at the William M. Gouse Jr. VFW Hall, honoring this year’s Community Service Award honorees. Founded in 1970, the Hicksville Community Council’s mission is to present programs to the general public in an attempt to educate the community on all issues and opinions within the Hamlet of Hicksville. Supervisor Saladino proudly presented a citation to the night’s award recipients, including Bill Walden, and Ken Hamilton of the Broadway Mall, and thanked them for their involvement in numerous activities that have advanced the general welfare of the Hicksville community. Also on hand and pictured above was Nassau County Legislators Rose Marie Walker (center left) and Laura Schaefer (center right), along with members of the Hicksville Community Council.
