Car hits house in Bethpage


A car struck a home on Thorne Drive, Bethpage, on Monday, March 1st at 10:15 p.m.

According to Nassau County Police, when they arrived at the scene the vehicle was stuck in the basement stairwell and the driver was unable to exit the vehicle. The Nassau County Police Department Emergency Services Unit responded and with the assistance of the Bethpage Fire Department officers were able to create a pulley system with an attached wire harness and were able to safely remove the driver of the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was transported to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries.

After further investigation the driver of the vehicle, Angela Wallace, 53, of 3212 23rd Street, Tuscaloosa, Alabama had a suspended license and an outstanding warrant. She has been charged with multiple Vehicle and Traffic Law Infractions.
